May & I drove to Littleton for stove lining & engaged
chessmaker & c.

Fri. 2
F. Read came to tea. Mrs. D. Cameron & babies called. Also
Mrs. Drapher & Mrs. Abel Abott a few minutes.

Sat. 3
Mrs. Osgood called in morn. I blew for Mary a while in morn.
Sewed on mocha wrapper in aft.

Sun. 4
98 at church. 51 in eve. Ell & Lizie came. I wrote a letter to
Miss Anderson.

Mon. 5
May & I carried some clothes to Mrs. Whitney & borrowed a
[bette??] & wedges at Mr. P. Wrights.

Tues. 6
S & I went to Lowell in morn. Stormy. Mr. Brurce came in aft.
for church book.

Wed. 7
Had Littleton dressmaker. Will went away in morn.

Thurs. 8
Fair meet. at Miss Wheeler’s. While May & I were attending that
Mrs. Barruand called.

Fri. 9
May drove to Laura [Syrumnes??] with clothes from Nora. S &
I called on Mrs. Wilson & S on Annie Kimball while I on Mrs.
Woodbury.

I walked to Houghton’s in aft. & called on Mrs. Roby on way
home & told Mrs. Allen she could have our horse.

Miss Wood & I went to church to N. Chelmsford. Small hox at
Forge so church closed. Snowed aft. & eve.

Annual church meet. this aft. Then I walked Haley’s hay a bill.

Tues. 13
May & I drove to C & I went onto Lowell to buy silver for church
with Mrs. Wheeler. Dinner at Ell’s. Cantata sing in eve.

Wed. 14
May & I went to parson. in morn. to pick up a few things. The
horse left us in aft. I wrote letter to Eds. Mother received one
from Mr. [Rofer??]. I went to meet. in eve. to Dr. [Drafere??].

Mrs. Wheeler called in morn. I called on Mrs. Hardy at dark &
on [Lourse??] a few minutes.

Washed. Mrs. Hardy staid to dinner with us.

Swept the house all over. Very warm. [Louse??] spent the eve.
arranging [miss.] meet.

Miss Wood & I attended church at W. Chelmsford. Had
Leonard’s horse.

10 degrees below zero. Too cold to go out.

Called on Mrs. A & L. Day.

Rainy & slippery. Worked on my white waist. in fat. Wheelers &
I went to parsonage to look it over. Read a letter from Mr.

M & I walked to S. Wrights to order some hay & we called on
Mrs. Smith. Ell was here to dinner. Mrs. L Wheeler called a few
minutes.

M & I walked to Rick Leightons & called. Then I called on Mrs.
Hardy on way home.

I blew for May ½ hour. Then went to Leonards for a check &
called on Mrs. W. Wheeler.

I called on Mrs. C. Fletcher & Mrs. Suzie Anderson. Wrote to Mr.
R & Lothers.

Ell spent day here. I walked to Mrs. Palmer’s to see if she would
sing in Cantata. Mark brought me home.

I wrote a letter to Ed. Blew for May a little while. Then went to
Mrs. Wheelers a few minutes.

Ell spent day here. Mrs. L Wheeler called in aft. I sent a letter
to Ed.

Mr. Hiller took diner with us. I borrowed our horse & carried
him home. 40 in eve. I didn’t go to church until noon.

I walked at noon to Si. Wright’s & paid for hay. Laura

Mrs. Wheeler drove. I worked at Par. All day pulling paper.

Spaded & sewed grass seeds. In aft. went to Graniteville for bag
of mixed feed.

Finished [??] grass seed & dug around & enriched the new
raspberry vines.

C. Wright plowed the garden & planted a row of peas. In aft.
May & I called on Bertha Farrar, [Mactieed??] & ordered eggs
at Mrs G’s. Miss Wood came in eve.

Sewed in morn. Lettuce, beet, radish, & parsley. Jane Davis
came in aft.

& skirt.

May went to Lowell. I pulled strawberries and weeds. Called
on May Anna & Mother & I took Mrs. Ferguson to ride.

S & May went after blueberries for the first time. Mrs. M. Kay & I
gathered flowers for church. Mr. Hiller called.

to Houghton’s about Mr. Hiller’s vacation. Then I called at

Mr. H & mother went away on his vacation. I called on Mrs.

I went on wheel & S in carriage to N. Chelms to meet Ed, Carrie,
& Priss. Had our first summer squash today. Meet. about fair.

Sent 1 bushel of apples. Had our first cucumbers today. Ed,

at Luces. Mrs. A Day & baby called. Gave $6 for Edna’s present
& S served for her. Gave Emma Johnson some beets.

May picked a barrel of baldwins from the trees. I carried Mr.
Hard to ride in aft. & May & I went to station for Edna but she
rode with Prescott so we brought up Mr. Johnson.

Worked at Hall from 7 till 1 then mother & I drove to Carlisle

Priss, S. & I called on F. Wilson then I blew. Then May & I went
into Mrs. Hardy’s a few minutes. Cleaned small cellar in

pears. Sold Mr. Johnson ½ bush.
