Wednesday, January 1, 1902
Mr. K called in aft. I took part in meet in eve.

Thursday, January 2
I carried the two Ms Ropers to Littleton for glass for parsonage
then I went to station for Mr. K. who had been to Lowell.

Friday, January 3
May & I called on Mrs. Kimball who is sick & attempted to call
on Mrs. T. Symmes but she was away.

Saturday, January 4, 1902
I went to library & carried Mary Bunce some Xmas candy that
she had bought then called on Mrs. W. Wheeler.

Sunday, January 5
105 at church. 54 in eve.

Monday, January 6

Mr. R & I called on Mrs. Adams & H.S.G.

Tuesday, January 7, 1902
Snowy so didn’t go to reading but Mr. R called about dark.

Wednesday, January 8
I attended miss meet in aft. then carried a candy bag to
Walter Steele & called. Meet of Ex com. In eve so I came right
home.

Thursday, January 9
May & I called on Mrs. Jenkyns. Draper & Emma Johnson &
[sic] attempted to call on Mrs. Herbert Fletcher but she was
away.

Friday, January 10, 1902
Mr. R., Laura, Maud & I called on Ida Leighton.

Saturday, January 11
At noon I carried Mr. R and his mother to station. She went to
Boston. I met Mr. R at night at station. I carried Mrs. Hardy
chicken pie etc. & called.

Monday, January 13, 1902
Annual church meet. Then Mr. R, May & I arranged music then
I carried magazines over town.

Tuesday, January 14
I attended reading class at Mrs. Allens then walked to
Hunnslow & May & I called. Mrs. R. walked to station at noon
for Boston.

Wednesday, January 15
Laura, Maud & I went to station at noon for father. Maud
staid to dinner until dark. I took the children to Mrs.
McIntire’s & Cynthia’s. I went to Pine Ridge for Mrs. R.

Thursday, January 16
May & I walked to Mr. [Vill Decatur’s??] who has met with an
accident & called at Mrs. Drews & Banisters.

Friday, January 17
Louise & I called on Mrs. Kimballs & Mabel Wheelers.

Saturday, January 18
I blew for May then she, Marion, Laura & I worked on the
music until dark.

Sunday, January, 19, 1902
110 at church. In aft. Mr. R & I went to inquire for Florence
Wilson. I staid at Parsonage the 2nd meet.

Monday, January 20
I drew Maude on her sled to Frank Shaw’s & called, Mr R called
in eve. I blew for May.

Tuesday, January 21
I carried Mrs. Hardy pie chicken etc. & called after reading
class. Mr R attended minister meet at Ayer.

Wednesday, January 22, 1902
Rainy during the day. I kept house at parsonage durg the
meet. Then Louise came in & came home with me until 11.

Thursday, January 23
Gilman Wright died today. Mr. R., the children & I called at
Wm Symmes. Mr. R. did at Seifers & Shorer’s. In eve Mr. & Mrs.
R, May & I went to Graniteville to Arthur Day’s. May went to
Lowell in eve.

Friday, January 24
I took care of Maude & Laura in aft to allow Mrs. R to make
calls. I called on Cynthia & the children & I carried a diary to
Blanche Waller & called. Washed. Mr. R called in eve about
singing for funeral.

Saturday, January 25, 1902
I swept my chamber. In aft. went to church to hear May play
her funeral pieces.

Sunday, January 26
110 at church. I staid at Parsonage the 2nd meet. Edith Seefer
came about 10P.M. & staid over night as she couldn’t get in at
Andrew’s.

Monday, January 27
Gilman Wrights funeral in church. Edith staid to dinner. The
Roper family & I went & called at Fred Fletcher’s. Mercury 50°

Tuesday, January 28, 1902
Reading club, then called on Mrs. Hardy. Mrs. L. Wheeler
called in eve before the Sing.

Wednesday, January 29
I called on Ethel Mills mother & Cynthia & went down to see
how Fay is who was ill. Staid at Parsonage during meet.

Thursday, January 30
Maud came down in aft. so I took her to Iza’s Bean Supper &
graphophone entertainment in eve in vestry for piano.

Friday, January 31, 1902
May & I called on Mrs Frank Felch. Amy Johns & Effie Bennett
& I blew for her a short time. Mrs. Sol. Richardson’s funeral
this aft.

Rainy, 31 at church 19 at preaching service in eve.

Monday, February 3, 1902
Very windy. I met Mr. R at station at noon. Wind tore the
carriage curtains. I spent night with Cynthia.

Tuesday, February 4
Attended reading class, then called a few minutes at
parsonage for the mileage for father. 6 mls. Mrs. R & F Banister
came to sing in eve.

Wednesday, February 5
Mr. R, the children & I rode to Parkerville. He & I called on the
Griffins & Rebeka Sweetser. While Mr. R called at school house
& Mr. Collins I staid at Annie Kimball’s. I stayed at parsonage
during meet.

Thursday, February 6, 1902
Carl visited us in aft. I called on Mrs. Baley & carried her some
bird’s nest pudding. Washed in morn.

Friday, February 7
I called on Mrs Billings Mother & Mrs. Hardy went driving. I
met Mr. R at station at 6. I carried Mrs Baily some chowder &
apple tapioca.

Saturday, February 8
Went to sewing class but it was too cold to stay.

Sunday, February 9, 1902
I think there were some over 80 at church. I walked to
Cynthia’s before eve meetings to escort her. Then I spent the
night with her.

Monday, February 10
Spent the night with Cynthia. In aft I carried 30 jars of fruit
from Cynthia’s to parsonage.

Tuesday, February 11
Reading class. May took care of Roper children while Mr. &
Mrs. R walked to Harrises. Albert died in morn.

Wednesday, February 12, 1902
I carried Mrs. Hardy to station at noon. Then Mr. R, Maud & I
rode to Baytons & Houghtons about funeral singing. Attended
miss. meet. Laura & I went to station for Mrs H. I stayed at
parsonage in eve.

Thursday, February 13
Blew a little while for May. Then she & I called on Mrs. Hardy.
Spent the night with Cynthia.

Friday, February 14
Albert Harris funeral in church. Then May, Mr. K & I rode to
Parkerville. Mr. R. called on Mr. Collins about Cynthia & I
called on Mrs. Smith.

Saturday, February 15, 1902
Went to sewing class in aft. Mrs. Keyes called & moth. & I
carried her home.

Sunday, February 16
Have given up SS class. 91 at church. I called on Mrs. Wheeler
a few minutes before eve. Meet. As she has had a slight
hemorrhage.

Monday, February 17
Very snowy. Wrote a letter to Sarah & didn’t go out.

Tuesday, February 18, 1902
So drifty didn’t have a reading class, but I called on Mrs.
Hardy & carried her some misc. magazines, & Mr. Foss’s on an
errand. Only Green & Mrs. R came to sing in eve.

Wednesday, February 19
Didn’t go out all day even to the eve meet, as the wind blew the
snow so badly, but 13 attended the meet. Washed in snow.

Thursday, February 20
Went to a tea party at Mrs. Osgoods. Mr. R and I rode with Mrs.
Wheeler & gave some money for kindergarten class. I took
Laura & Maud home from Cynthia. I called in morn on Mrs.
W. Wheeler, rode with father while he was exercising the horse.

Friday, February 21, 1902
Staid in house all day after getting home from Cynthia’s.

Saturday, February 22
Didn’t go out all day on account of drifts. No choir rehearsal
in eve.

Sunday, February 23
58 at church, drifty. I spent the night with Cynthia. Our class
went in Mr. R’s class in S.S.

Monday, February 24, 1902
Went to station for Mr. R. at noon. In aft. Mr. & Mrs. R, I & two
children had a sleigh ride to Littleton then called on Mrs.
Wilson & staid at Pars. in eve while they called on the Watsons.

Tuesday, February 25
9 at reading class then May & I called on Mrs. Wheeler &
Hardy. Had a large cantata sing in eve.

Wednesday, February 26
So rainy didn’t go out or go to meet in eve. Very muddy. Sent
some correspondence to the paper.

Thursday, February 27, 1902
Walked in the wind to the academy & gave Amelia some
correspondence about Cantata.

Friday, February 28
Cloudy all day & came on very rainy in eve. I didn’t go out.

Saturday, March 1
Went to sewing class but didn’t have one item. I called on Mrs.
Hardy & Wheeler. Swept chamber in morn.

Sunday, March 2, 1902
Very rainy & muddy. 39 at church. I went to Bible meet but
not enough for a meet, but there was a preaching service after.

Monday, March 3
Walked to Mrs. Whitney & called, then called on Iza as Cynthia
was there then went home with Cynthia a few minutes.

Tuesday, March 4
Reading class then I walked to Mrs. Peckins & called. Cantata
sing in eve. Mrs. L. Wheeler called a few minutes in morn.

Wednesday, March 5, 1902
Snowed hard so I didn’t go out . Didn’t have a meet in eve.

Thursday, March 6
Mr. R. May, Marion & Laura & I went in sleigh to Mrs. M. Clouds
& Osgoods with Easter pieces then went to Houghtons Osgoods &
called.

Friday, March 7
The whole R family & I went to Colburns, Parsons & Hunnistons
on errands then Mr. R, Marion Laura & I called on Mrs.
Hambell & Miss Richardson & Mr. R went in to Anne Drews
about an Easter piece.

I went to sewing class then called on Mrs. Hardy.

Sunday, March 9
32 at church. Very rainy. 23 in eve. I staid at parsonage in
eve. Had no Bible class.

Monday, March 10
Carried magazines around in morn. & walked to Mrs.
[Poly’s??] to engage her to come to our house in aft. to
rehearse, then I drove for her in aft. Nora, Mrs. R. & Edna
came. I called in morn on Mrs. W. Wheeler. Got very wet
walking.

Tuesday, March 11, 1902
Did a large washing. Reading class in aft. Mrs. R. spent day
at Ayer miss. meet. Went to station with Mrs. Draper. After class
I took the 3 R’s to call on Cynthia. She was at Iza’s so I called
on Iza.

Wednesday, March 12
Very warm. Miss. meet. In aft. then May & I called a few
minutes on Mrs. Hardy & Mrs Jenkyns to see if she would sing in
our cantata. I staid at parsonage in eve.

Thursday, March 13
I blew for May at 2 then called on Mrs. Hardy.

Friday, March 14, 1902
I went on cars to Lowell all day. I obtained $19 worth of
advertisements. May went to Boston.

Saturday, March 15
Mr. R. Marion, Laura & I went riding to the Polly’s. I staid out
with the children & the children & I went in to Mrs. Boyton’s
while Mr. R called on Mrs. [Wallsden??]

Sunday, March 16
107 at church 57 in eve. I stayed at parsonage.

Monday, March 17. 1902
May, Laura & I walked to Bert Hildreth’s with some church
flowers & called on Mrs. Harris. In eve. We made out programs
& I went to parsonage in eve about them for a few minutes.

Tuesday, March 18
Mr. R. & I drove to Chelmsford & then went to Lowell, I about
printing. I went to station at 5 for Mrs. Bewer & Grace King
then at 6 for Miss Carmichael & carried Louise down.

Thursday, March 20, 1902
Mr. R & I went to station at noon for his mother & rode to Anne
Drew’s 1st
with an Easter [rec.?] Laura & Gracie K came in aft
& saved patch work then Nora came to sing cantata.

Friday, March 21
I blew for May an hour then she & I , Grace, Laura & Maud
walked to Della Blood’s but she was not at home.

Saturday, March 22
I went to sewing class at Mrs. Draper’s, then I walked to Della’s
about ice cream, then mother & I went to station for Miss
Carmichael, home by Anne Drews, Lucy L. & Marguerite’s with
bills for them to distribute.

Sunday, March 23, 1902
130 at church. A beautiful day. About 85 in eve.

Monday, March 24
I gave out the programs to be distributed. In aft Mrs. Jenkyns,
Roper & Poly & Nora came to rehearse. I went after Mrs. Poly.

Tuesday, March 25
I went to rehearsal in eve, after Carmichael’s. Madam Roper,
Mrs. Bewer & I rode to Ida Leightons to engage her flowers &
Arthur Wilsons to engage him to carry them up. I called on
Florence a few minutes & we gathered a lot of pussy willows.

Wednesday, March 26, 1902
Mother, Mrs. Stockdale & I rode to the Colburns & gathered
pussies. I took dinner at the Wheelers & did some errands
about the concert. May & I arranged the pussies. I went to
Gran. In morn. To see Reuben about lilies.

Thursday, March 27
Mother, May & I drove down to woods after hemlock etc. then
Mr. R & I drove to Parkerville. We carried Laura Symmes home
from Mrs. Hardy. I called on her & Mrs. McCloud & Mr. R on
Woodbury S. Kimball & Mr. Collins. Rehearsal in eve. I went to
Graniteville for Mrs. Carmichael.

Friday, March 28
Cloudy in morn. Faith & I rode to Forge for ice & made
sherbet, & walked up to the church, setting tables etc. Showered
in aft. & rained in eve. Made $56.00. I helped collect money
for ice cream.

Saturday, March 29,1902
Washed dishes & cleaned up at the church all forenoon.
Rained hard. SS rehearsal in aft.

Sunday, March 30
Easter. About 135 at church I think. Childrens concert,
cantata at Unit. Church in morn. About 100 in meet in eve.

Monday, March 31
Large washing. In aft. May & I carried around some lilies in
mothers carriage then she & May carried home flowers to Jellis
etc. Mrs. Bewer & Madam Roper called in eve. About Esther.

Tuesday, April 1, 1902
Carrie Read & Cynthia took dinner here, then I called on Mrs.
Greenleaf Drew & Mrs. Wheeler.

Wednesday, April 2
Mr. R, May & I went to Lowell by Chelmsford. I finished about
advertisements all but 6 [haliform??]. Didn’t feel well so
didn’t go to meet in eve.

Thursday, April 3
Carried Mr. & Mrs. R to station in morn. They went to Boston.
Went to library to see M Bunce then went to parsonage & put
the children to bed.

Friday, April 4, 1902
Received a telephone that the R’s weren’t coming home today.
May & I called on Mrs. Calvert then I on Mrs. Hardy & Mary
Anns door & Mrs. Wheelers. I put Roper children to bed &
stayed a while in eve.

Saturday, April 5
Went to sewing class but Mrs. Parsons wasn’t there so Laura & I
went in to Mrs. Hardys & then I came home. Went to station at
noon for Mr. & Mrs. R. Cold & cloudy.

122 at church. 62 in eve.

Monday, April 7, 1902
Carried around the magazines. Laura & Maud came a little
while in morn. & L sewed & I read to her. I called on Iza &
read Julia’s letter to her. In eve. Edna, Mrs. R & Henry came to
a sing. I called on Mrs. Frost.

Tuesday, April 8
Windy & rainy. I wrote to Mrs. Rowley.

Wednesday, April 9
Rainy. Didn’t go out until eve. Meet. Made a new back to my
white waist.

I walked around the square & called on Mrs. Hannon. Mrs.
Parsons went there with me & called on Mrs. Chas. Wright. May
came there and walked home with me. Cloudy.

Friday, April 11
In morn May & I drove to Mr. Hildreths field & she took 2
pictures. I carried her to station & went after her. I called at
parsonage in aft about Mrs. Symmes & Esther Taylor.

Saturday, April 12
I attended sewing class then blew for May.

Mr. R went fishing & May & I met him at Nashoba then Cynthia
& I went to Mrs Taylors, Banisters & Helen Polleys about
calendar. Took a picture of farm on way to Nashoba.

I went to see Mary Bunce at library. Sing in eve.

Wednesday, April 16, 1902
Mr. R & I drove to Ayer to attend conference in Fitchburg. May
went to Lowell in morn.

Thursday, April 17
Dressmaker from Lowell here for May. I went on wheel to
Graniteville afterwards to engage Mrs. Sheehan for me.

Friday, April 18
I went on wheel to Mrs. Harmons to solicit food then went to
station for May as she had been to Lowell. F plowed his garden
in aft.

Saturday, April 19 1902
I went on wheel to Mrs. Osgoods & Boyntons & P Wrights to
solicit food for sociable & made a last call on Mrs. Madison
Hutchins. Mother & May drove to Littleton to see Cutters.

Sunday, April 20
128 at church. I taught Louise’s class & walked home from SS
with Cynthia. I morn carried violets to Mrs. Wheeler. About 75
in eve.

Monday, April 21
Mr. & Mrs. R, Maud & I called at Mr. Robert Fletchers then while
they called at Wilsons I went on & solicited in Parkerville.

May, Laura & I went to Mrs. Parsons for nuts but couldn’t find
her then May & Louise called at Wilsons. I sat on piazza
sewing, At 6 fath. & I drove to Graniteville to see Mrs.
Carmichael.

Thursday, April 24
I set tables at church in aft. Made a pudding & lemon pies for
sociable. I went to parsonage in early eve a few minutes to see
Mrs. R about Lowell. May, mother & I went as far as Howards
for flowers & got milk at Mrs. Parsons.

Friday, April 25, 1902
Supper & sociable at church. Made $12.00. Mr. R, May & I went
to Lowell. Father went as far as Chelmsford with us. Made
candy in morn.

Spent aft. washing dishes at church & cleaning.

Mr. R, Maud & I went to Littleton & left my wheel. Mr. R called
on Mr. Havens & I on Mrs. Patten. We stopped at station on way
home & got Cynthia.

Tuesday, April 29
Cynthia spent day in Lowell. At noon drove Madam & Mrs. R to
station for Boston & took care of Laura & Maud in aft. to let
Mr. R call. They went with me to station for Cynthia.

Wednesday, April 30
I took care of Laura & Maud in aft. May, Cynthia & I called at
Bannisters & she at Steeles, but didn’t find Mrs. R at station as
she missed the train, so father met her in Chelmsford.

Thursday, May 1, 1902
Maud & I carried May to station at noon for Lowell then
Laura, Maud, Miss Wood & I went for at night. Cynthia spent
day at her house washing etc.

Friday, May 2
May went to Boston to stay over night. I made buns & bread.
Cynthia, mother & Mrs. Wheeler went driving in snow. I took
dinner & supper at Mrs. W’s. Mr. R, Maud & I went to Littleton
in aft. for my bicycle.

Saturday, May 3
Sarah & May came home at noon. I made lemon pies &
macaroni in morn. Some rainy.

Sunday, May 4, 1902
113 at church. I taught Esther Taylor’s class. I staid at the
parsonage in the eve.

Monday, May 5
Cynthia started for N.Y. state on the 6 o’clock train in eve.
Sarah & I took her to the station. I did some [ticking??] in aft
& engaged Mary Drew to cut my dress.

Tuesday, May 6
Jane came tonight. I remained in the house all day. Washed
in morn. Sarah & May went driving. Jane & I played checkers
in eve.

Wednesday, May 7, 1902
May & I went in to the schools, then I came home & sewed on
the piazza. Jane made calls in aft.

Thursday, May 8
Jane & I drove May to station at noon & went after her at
night. Sing here in eve. Mother & Mrs. Hardy went driving in
aft. Sarah has a cold.

Friday, May 9
Worked in garden in morn. Played checkers with Jane in eve.
Jane spent day with Bessie Watson.

Saturday, May 10, 1902
May & I walked down Graniteville road & gathered some ferns.
I went to our rehearsal in eve, then to the Unit. Jane spent aft
with Fergusons.

Sunday, May 11
118 at church. 28 in [En??] meet in eve. About 58 in next
meet.

Monday, May 12
Went on my wheel to Mrs. [Jensens?] & Perkins & called. Mrs.
Lord came to parsonage tonight. Cleaned the cellar way &
swept guest chamber.

Tuesday, May 13, 1902
Went to library for books for S. Mr. R called in aft. He broke his
wheel yesterday. We cleaned the front chamber. Sing at our
house in eve.

Wednesday, May 14
Attended Miss. meet in aft and read, then went on wheel to
Iza’s & called. Washed in morn & went to Bible meet. In eve. S.
hasn’t been out for 2 days on account of a cold.

Thursday, May 15
Cleaned the front hall. In aft carried some shoes on my wheel
to Mrs. Harrimans to mend.

Friday, May 16, 1902
Cleaned the parlor. In aft. S. & May went to ride.

Saturday, May 17
Went to sewing class & then called on Mrs. Bennett & Keyes. The
other choirs met with us in eve.

Father & Mr. R drove to Lowell & it came on rainy. Mr. R came
home on 5 o’clock train & called on us in eve. Washed in morn
& I didn’t go out.

Severe showers in eve. Mr. R walked home from Pine Ridge in

Went to church at Graniteville. S & I carried Mr. R & Edna F.
Rode home by the station & Nabnassett. Some 28 in eve. 36 in

Monday, May 26
Sewed on white waist nearly all day. Moth. & S went driving &
came home in rain. Mrs. Hall called.

Tuesday, May 27
Cooked most all the morn. Quite rainy. Demorest Contest but
we didn’t attend. Mrs. Bewer came this morn.

Littleton dressmaker all day. Cold & dreary. Bible class in eve.

Thursday, May 29
Met at church parlor to sew for Bicknells. I carried Mrs. Bewer
to station at night.

Attended memorial service in morn. Carried a pie & cake.
Mowed lawn in aft. & sewed.

Mrs. Wheeler, S & I went to church to sew for Bicknells. About
noon I went on wheel to Mrs. Harmons & Taylors about SS.
Class. Primary.

Sunday, June 1
Taught Esther S.S. class. 113 at church, 65 in eve. Changed to
C E meet only Sun eve. Ell & Grace went to church with us &
staid to dinner. Wrote letter to Mrs. Rowley.

Monday, June 2
Went on wheel to Mrs. Palmer’s as Mrs. A Day wasn’t at home &
saw Mrs. Carmichael at the train there, then called on errand
at Mrs. Steele & Lambert’s door. S. & Mrs. R went to Chelmsford
& Mr. R to Lowell.

Tuesday, June 3, 1902
Sewed on my dress all day. Went to sing at church in eve &
called on Mrs. Hardy a few minutes.

Wednesday, June 4
Only 11 at Bible class. Sewed on my dress all day.

Thursday, June 5
S, C & I carried a baby back to Mrs. Arthur Day & called. S
went on wheel around square & to parsonage in eve. Miss
Wood came & helped May about [drawn?] work.

Friday, June 6, 1902
I went with mother & May to Smith’s woods for laurel but didn’t
find any. S went on wheel by C. Smiths & Ida Leightons. Large
wash.

Saturday, June 7
Louise called on me on the front piazza. A little rainy.

Sunday, June 8
137 at church. 6 children baptized. 70 in eve. I wrote a letter
to Mrs. Rowley.

Monday, June 9, 1902
Carried Mrs. Bewer to station at noon. S went to station at 5
for Mrs. Roper. Mrs. Campbell & I looked over Mrs. Ferusons
house. I made a short call on Mrs. Hardy sfter tea.

Tuesday, June 10
Rainy in aft. Sewed on dress all day.

Wednesday, June 11
S. went on wheel to Mrs. Wilsons. Mr. R called mail time a few
minutes about a check.

I carried Miss Wood to ride in North part. Helped about a load
of hay. S went in school in aft.

Friday, June 13
Finished a pink dress for Elva Bicknell & carried it home to her.
Called on Mrs. Geo. Whitney.

Saturday, June 14
I went to Lowell on my wheel. Called on Miss Richardson on
way home. In aft. attended business meet. of [GE??] at
Paradise.

Sunday, June 15, 1902
84 at church, I taught Esther’s class. 42 in eve. Temperance
meet. Mr. R lead.

Monday, June 16
I finished Elva’s red dress & carried it home. It began to rain
so I went in at Porter Wrights & called then called at Celia
Wheelers & left my wheel there all night.

Tuesday, June 17
May & S drove & took Jane Davis’s socks, then moth, Mrs. Hardy
& I called on Mrs. Wilson. We washed. I carried Geo. Lord &
his mother to station at night.

Mrs. L. Wheeler & I called on Mrs. Greigg & invited her & the
Drews to reception. Moth & S went driving first. Carried Mrs.
Ferguson & her sister part way home from station.

Wednesday, June 25
Moth. & Mrs. Wheeler went driving. S. went off on wheel. I went
to store for butter so called on Julia Hall. Some men helped Mr.
Ferguson today.

In aft. made cakes for reception. May & I called on Mrs. J. B.
Fletcher at 5 & on Mrs. Ferguson’s sister in eve. S. called on
Anna Drew in eve.

Friday, June 27, 1902
S & May went to Lowell & Chelmsford to dinner. Grace came
home with them. I called on Mrs. Frost a few minutes.
Attended Maude Taylors reception in eve at church.

Washed dishes etc. at church in morn. & oiled harness.
Studied some in aft.

108 at church 47 in eve. I went to parsonage. May, Louise & S.
came there after meet.

Ironed in aft. Carl came in aft. & staid to tea. S. doesn’t feel
well. Mrs. Stockdale came this eve to [Luces??] for the summer.

In aft took Mrs. R & Mrs. Stockdale driving about consecration
meet. 109 at church. 84 in eve. S. staid at Parsonage. Louise
& I went in a minute after meet. for me to look at Mr. R’s
atomizer but he decided not to send to Boston by me for one.

Monday, July 7
Spent the day at Hospital in Boston. Saw Drs. Codman,
Greenough & Harrington. Faith went [haying??] at
Chelmsford.

Tuesday, July 8
Louise called after tea then I went to P.O. with her & Mrs.
Stockdale came home with me & called. S. went to Dr. Drapers
after dinner. He said she had neuralgia. Moth & Mrs. Wheeler
went driving.

[Lot.?] Picked currents & made jelly & went in morn to T
Symmes & bought 6 qts of cherries & put them up. Didn’t any of
us go to Miss. meet. The last Bible meet this eve. F. at
Chelmsford haying, Came home Thurs. noon. Louise called
after miss. meet.

Thursday, July 10
Carried some currants & thimbleberries to parsonage. Had
Miss Hodgman to tea. After tea called on Mrs. Ferguson a few
minutes about when to have Jenny come home from Chelmsford
then wrote letter to Ed & postal to Hattie Buckminster.

Friday, July 11
Faith went to Chelmsford again today.

Saturday, July 12, 1902
S & I went to Chelmsford & picked gooseberries in aft. &
brought home flowers.

Sunday, July 13
Carried goose berries to parsonage. 117 at church 70 in eve.
Mr. Hiller preached. I arranged flowers in morn. The children
staid here in aft. Nora & Eleanor came. I staid at parsonage
in eve.

Monday, July 14
Canned gooseberries. Very hot. Meet to arrange for Fair, then
I blew a little while. In eve I took my sewing & sat out doors &
walked with Mrs. Stockdale.

Tuesday, July 15, 1902
Finished Nettie’s waists. Carried some berries to Parsonage.
Wrote a letter in eve. To Cynthia.

Wednesday, July 16
Mr. R & we three went berrying at Hays in forewoods. Staid at
home & sewed in aft. Staid at Parsonage in eve. Wrote a letter
to Mrs. Rowley.

Thursday, July 17
Canned two qts. blueberries. Helped Mr. R get his tomato plants
here. Vera & Frank Lord & Leo came at noon. I carried up
some berries to parsonage. & Mrs. Hardy’s. etc. Developed
pictures about noon.

Friday, July 18, 1902
Washed. Mr. R & Frank went fishing. Had a rehearsal at
church in eve. for ladies quartet. Worked on my corset covers.

Saturday, July 19
Carried berries to Mrs. Hardy & Parsonage. Mrs. L. Wheeler
called. I went on wheel Graniteville road with Marion Roper
after hard hack & ferns & arranged them before rehearsal at
church in eve.

Sunday, July 20
80 at church. Rainy. Miss Carmichael, Carrie K & Vira sang &
Frank Lord played. Arranged flowers in church. I staid at
parsonage in eve. 44 in eve. meet.

Monday, July 21, 1902
Mr. R brought down some fish for us in eve. I carried Nellie’
waists home & brought back Elva’s dress for trimming.

Tuesday, July 22
S. & Laura went driving. Laura took dinner here. I carried
home a dish to the parsonage.

Wednesday, July 23
Mrs. Stockdale came down then she & I carried currants to
parsonage then I sewed on the piazza till Mrs. Osgood called.
She came down here, then I carried some music to Mrs. C. &
called on Arthur Day. Staid at parsonage in eve.

S, M & I went berrying. In eve called on Leonard & Mary out
doors, then went to parsonage about L’s drawing a load wood
for Mr. R. S was there.

Friday, July 25
Mrs. Stockdale & I went driving & gathered flowers for Sun. I
carried raspberries & blueberries to parsonage. Washed in
morn. S went on wheel to Parkerville.

Saturday, July 26
Went on wheel to Lowell & got glasses mended & bought a suit.
Sewed on Elva’s dress.

Sunday, July 27, 1902
130 at church. Mrs. Havens preached. I arranged flowers in
morn. 64 in eve. S & May took Vira to Chelmsford in aft.
Emma Murphy came in aft to parsonage.

Monday, July 28
In aft. I carried Emma Murphy to station & Mrs. R to Annie
Coolidge’s, then took Marion, Chester & Maud to Mrs. Bicknells
with some old clothes. Mrs. Stockdale came in eve then Mr. R.
He has decided to go home tomorrow.

Tuesday, July 29
S took Mrs. R & Maud to Westford Depot. Mr. R went on wheel to
Red Line. Laura & I took his suit case with Mr. Millers horse to
Pine Ridge as Mrs. R forgot it. Laura & Marion staid with us
over night. S took them to ride in aft. I went up & washed
dishes in aft.

At [2??] Laura & I carried Mrs. Frosts company to Pine Ridge.
At ten S & children went there for Mrs. R. We sent her some
string beans & pie for dinner. I staid at parsonage during eve
meet.

I carried Mrs. R & Laura to Mrs. Taylor’s & I engaged him. Mr.
Harmon & Chas Bucknell to work for Mr. Ferguson Sat. I
carried Mrs. Stockdale & Louise to Mr. Harmons.

Friday, August 1
In aft. we picked currants at Mrs. Prescotts & Mrs Stockdale & I
carried 7 jars for Mrs. R.

Saturday, August 2, 1902
Moth. May & I gathered wild carrot & ferns for Sun. I cleaned
kitchen & C, getting ready for Magaret. Fath took Mrs. R to
Lyman Smith’s funeral this morn.

Sunday, August 3
96 at church. Mr. Enslin preached. Mr. Bewer was at
parsonage overnight. 52 in eve. Arranged flowers in morn.
Nora, Edna, S & I sang a quartet.

Monday, August 4
Went on wheel to Mrs. A. Wright’s. Mrs. J.B. Fletcher & Louise’s
for money to buy paint & paper for parsonage. Mr. Coolidge’s
funeral tomorrow.

May & I went to Littleton for time for parsonage. Called a few
minutes on Jane & at Mrs. R’s about paper & paint. Henry
called in eve about it.

A blind man staid overnight in our barn last night. I gave

Mrs. R, Marion & we went berrying in morn. In aft, Mrs. R,
Sarah & I went to So. Chelmsford & Carlisle to engage a
minister for Sun.

Margaret came at noon. In aft. Moth, May & I went to Helen

95 at church. 71 in eve. I carried Mrs. R to So. Chelmsford &
Mrs. Stockdale. Mr. Williams preached here. I staid at home
with Magaret in eve, S at parsonage. Mrs. R & Laura were here
to dinner.

Monday, August 11, 1902
May & I went to Parsonage in morn, & took up the carpet &
pulled off the paper for Henry. Mrs. Stockdale & I went to Mrs.
Fergusons a few minutes about Fair.

Tuesday, August 12
Magaret drove to Chelmsford with fath. In aft. I went to Mrs. J.
B. Fletcher about Fan & called on Mary Bunie at library. Gave
our blackberries to Mrs. R to make jelly. Washed in morn.

Wednesday, August 13
At noon I carried Mar & Magaret to station to take a picture.
After dinner I went to Parsonage & helped Henry paper the
sitting room & I canned 3 ½ jars blackberries for Mrs. R. I kept
house at parsonage in eve. Picked our last currants today.

Thursday, August 14, 1902
Margaret & I carried Mrs. Frost & Tom to station in morn, then
Fath. & I went to Forge for ice. In aft the rest of family went up
to the boulders & called on Mrs. Wilson, & Mrs. Woodbury,
Osgood & McCloud on fair business. I felt sick in the night.

Friday, August 15
Went to bed a while in aft, then went up to church a while with
May about flowers. Sociable at church in eve, & made 124
which paid for piano. I carried up Mrs. R some ice cream.

Saturday, August 16
Mrs. Palmer, Mrs. A. S. Wright, & Etta Lewis called Magaret, May
& I in morn. Drove to N. Chelmsford about engaging band for
Fair & called on Lizzie Keyes.

No church today. 72 in eve. Leo kept hose at parsonage.

Monday, August 18
Margaret, May & I went to Wachusett Mt. The fare was 30 cts.
Round trip beyond Fitchburg.

Tuesday, August 19
I planned my quilt. Mrs. Stockdale called. Henry came about
family & papering the parsonage dining room. Magaret & I
rode to Mrs. Harriman with her shoes & Mrs. Bloods for a bowl.

We three & Magaret went to Andover today. The fare was 40 cts
round trip beyond N. Chelmsford. I went to bed early to
prepare for Pelham tomorrow.

Thursday, August 21
Father’s 80th birthday. He & I drove to Pelham & back. The
electric power house in P will hold 32 cars.

Friday, August 22
Washed, cleaned carriage & harness. Magaret & I rode to Mrs.
Pines with her clothes, the Wheelers for eggs etc. Julia & Anna
Hall called. I wrote letters Lizzie Houghton & M A Warren
about fair.

Sewed on Fair quilt & went on wheel around square & to Mrs.
Lamberts about Fair but no one was at home. Called on Mrs. R

Spent the day at Hospital. Operation at nine.

Left the Hospital about 11. Shopped the rest of the day, then
May & I came home at night.

A few more than 100 at church. I was late. During S.S. I called
on Mrs. Hardy & Miss Wood & Mary Bunel at library.

Packed all day to go to Harwich. About night May & I went to
Mr. Harrimans for my boots.

Arrived at Miss Mary Underwoods at 7:08. Mrs. Rowley met me
& spent the eve. with me.

In aft went to station & got my wheel & engaged a man to
come to work tomorrow, then went to P.O. & called on Mrs. R.

Spent afternoon at sewing circle at Mrs. R’s & staid to tea &
went with her to W.C.T.U. in eve. rainy in morn. I walked to

Riffed a dress all day. Most night went on my wheel & returned
a lantern to Miss Underwood & got some apples at Mrs. Und’s.
Miss Mary worked on [gurnels??] all day. In eve I wrote to

Staid in all day. Riffed the dress in aft. Mr. R. & Ruth called

Washed in morn. & went to the shore in aft. & called on Mrs.

Very rainy. Stove smoked so could not iron much. Killed two
cats. Walked to P.O. & Editor’s. Mr. R called in eve. & brought

Caught & killed a kitten & potted the geraniums. Miss U. & I
went to store & bought materials to sew on, & called at Mrs.
Snow’s & I at Mrs. R’s.

Cut out Miss U’s skirt & stitched it on Miss Harriman’s machine
at dark, then went to Mrs. R’s for the night.

Spend the nights at Mrs. R’s. Ironed in morn & sewed n Miss U’s
skirt. Finished my letter to May W. & something for consc. Meet.
& carried it at 3 to P.O. Mrs. R & I went to station for Miss U.
but she did not come.

Cloudy. Miss U. arrived home at 11. Most night I went on
wheel to Harwich Port & West Harwich & most to Dennis Port &
stitched on Miss Harriman’s machine.

Mrs. R. & Ruth & I walked home with Miss Harriman after eve.

Washed. About finished Miss U’s skirt in aft. Mrs. R. & Ruth
called & I walked with them to store & bought some lemons for
Miss U’s cold. & engaged Mr. Long to set up the stove. Wrote to
Ed.

Tuesday, November 4
Ironed. Miss U. went down st. in aft. About dark I rode by the
Par. a little ways then called. Rec’d a letter from home in
forenoon. Our stove was put up in the sitting room today.

Wednesday, November 5
We cleaned for Miss U’s party Thurs. eve. I went to meet (19
present) early & called at Parsonage. Walked home with the
Harrimans. Went to P.O. early to carry Miss U’s letter & got one
from Mrs. Leonard. Rec’d one in forenoon from [r??]

Cleaned. The party came in eve. 14.

Friday, November 7
Miss Brooks & Booth took dinner with us. Attended the W.C.T.U.
in eve. I called on Mr. R. before meet.

Made pies & sponge cake in morn. Miss U. went down town. In
aft, I went on wheel to Chatham lights & called on Mrs.
Littlefield of So. Chatham & Parsonage on way home.

Rainy. Miss U. didn’t go to meet. I did not in eve. I taught the
class of elderly women. Had a bath in aft.

Monday, November 10
Wrote to Miss Stevens. Worked on sheets. Went on wheel in
morn. & aft. to baker’s. Mrs. Underwood & Snow took tea with
us & dressed Miss U. for a party at Mr. Smalls. I spent eve alone.

Tuesday, November 11
Washed. Spent the night at Mrs. Bretts as her sister had gone to
conference. Went to P.O. in aft. then sewed.

Had break. At 9 as cleaned out stove. Ironed. After 4 went to
Dennis Port & called on Mrs. R. Meet. in eve. Very Windy.

Thursday, November 13
Sewed in morn. & went to circle at Miss Brooks about dark. In
eve read through book “Adopting an Abandoned Farm.”

Friday, November 14
Finished stitching the sheets & stitched the hem to Miss U’s
wrapper in aft, then went on wheel to P.O. & called at Mrs. R’s.

Saturday, November 15, 1902
Miss U. took dinner with Frances Snow & remained away till I
got tea. I made cran. pies, ironed napkins, etc, then went to
the Shore & read there then called on Mrs. R.

I went into Mrs. Allen’s class in S.S.

Monday, November 17
Had a wash woman today. Frances & her mother cut the night
dresses & remained to tea. I walked home with them as far as
P.O.

Did some errands on wheel in morn. Very warm. Ironed the
rest of the day. In eve I wrote to Julia, the Cutters & home
while Miss U. went to roll call at chapel.

Wednesday, November 19
Mrs. Beard arrived tonight. I had a sweeping day.

Thursday, November 20
Mrs. Beard went driving in morn with Frances. I made some
tapioca. In aft I just wheeled to shore. Went to tea to Elmira’s,
then the plant sale at chapel.

Friday, November 21, 1902
Miss U. & Mrs. B. called on Miss Brooks in morn. I made an
apple pie. At 5:30 I went to tea at Mrs. Bretts. Stitched N.
dresses there on machine. The others went to W.C.T.U. meet at
Parsonage in aft.

Saturday, November 22
Mrs. Beard took dinner with Miss Brooks. I walked to P.O. for 7
o’clock mail & called at Parsonage. Sewed in aft. on night
dresses.

I did not stay to S.S. Mrs. Franklin, U, Eleanor, Mrs. Brett &
Ralph called in aft. Mrs. R. walked a part way home with me
from eve. meet. I called there just before meet.

Sewed on night dress all day. At dark I called a few minutes
on Mrs. W, U & parsonage. Mrs. Beard left in morn.

Tuesday, November 25
At 3 went on wheel to N. Harwich then over to Dennis Port
home 7 ½ miles. Called a few minutes at Parsonage & Mr. F.
Underwoods.

Rainy. At 3 carried some letters for Miss U to P.O. & bought
some lace for night dresses & called at Par. Wrote in eve home
& to Mrs. W. Wheeler & Mrs. Rolfe.

Thursday, November 27, 1902
Thanksgiving. I went about noon to Rowleys to dinner. Mr. F.
Underwood carried us home at 5. Rainy.

Friday, November 28
I scoured silver & finished a night dress. Very windy & cold. At
night could hardly face the wind on wheel to stores.

Saturday, November 29
We had our party tonight. 7 came to tea & 2 afterwards. Miss
Brooks died on her way home from train. I swept all the lower
rooms.

Mrs. Rowley has a bad cold so I taught her class of boys & she
went home.

Monday, December 1
Rec’d a letter from Julia W. Started for E. Harwich but gave it
up & went to shore. In eve. went on wheel to Frances then to
P.O. My home letter said Mr. R. has resigned. P. woman
washed.

Tuesday, December 2
Ironed, then finished the last night dress. About dark went to
Mrs. Smalls & called on an errand then to Parsonage.
Received a letter from Mrs. W. Wheeler.

Wednesday, December 3, 1902
Miss Brooks funeral. Mrs. Beard’s son to dinner. Mrs. U & he
staid to Mrs. Bretts to tea. Mr. Beard & I went to eve. meet.

Thursday, December 4
Mr. Beard & Miss U. went driving in morn. In aft. I went to
Pleasant Lake.

Friday, December 5
Mr. Beard went away this morn. The first snow storm today. I
sewed & finished my letter home which I sent by milk man.
Very cold.

Saturday, December 6, 1902
The pipes froze some last night. Made pies, washed floor etc. &
had bath in aft, so didn’t go out any where.

Sunday, December 7
Staid to dinner at Parsonage.

Monday, December 8
Washed a little & packed. Very cold. Moved to Mrs. Rowleys at
night.

Tuesday, December 9, 1902
6 below zero. Sewed on Ruth’s waist.

Wednesday, December 10
Went to Mr. Hunts store with Mrs. R, then took a walk & went to
meet. in eve. Rec’d a letter from home.

Thursday, December 11
Mrs. Rowley went to circle. I called on Miss Mary at her house
then walked to Harwich Port, home. Finished Ruth’s waist.

Friday, December 12, 1902
Finished Ruth’s skirt. Took a walk through the village in the
snow storm about night.

Monday, December 15
Funeral at 2 P.M.
Sat., December 13
Rec’d a telephone that father died this morn. So started for
home at 3:20. Reached Boston at 9 & Lowell at 11. Walked in
deep snow to Ells at 12.

Sunday, December 14, 1902
Ell carried me home at noon. I wrote a letter to Mrs. Rowley in
eve.

Wednesday, December 17
Ell brought Will this morn.

Wednesday, December 24, 1902
Walked out & finished collecting money for the supper. Mr. R
took our horse to Gran. In morn & he & S rode to Forge in aft.
