Electrics. One who is in a position to know says there are encouraging rumors of the long-talked electric road coming through our town another year. None of the old and dearly bought plans and surveys are to be needed, as the proposed route will leave the village Main st. on the right and strike into meadow land, coming in sight again near the webbing factory. Long distance routes seem to be what the promoters are laying for nowadays, and also so far as possible to get rights of way through private lands. If this plan is carried out, all hope of a direct line through the Main st. of the village must be abandoned.
