Drew Farm Sign
1881 steel, apple-shaped sign that once stood on top of the Drew Farms Country Store at Boston Road. Affixed as part of the exhibit is an enlarged and enhanced picture of Cold Spring Farm, owned by Jonathan Varnam Fletcher (1812-1899), at the intersection of Depot St and Stony Brook Rd. Drew Farms was owned by Bohne Orchard by the 1990s, and included the orchard and farm stand at Tadmuck Rd. In 2001, Drew Farms was sold, and was renamed Eric’s Greenhouse and Garden Center (later Eric’s Flower Emporium). The property was closed and sold to a developer by 2016. Previously agreed agricultural restrictions with the town prevented further development of the property. After, Bohn Orchard began to use the historical “Drew Farm” name.
