Stone House Photograph

From the Collection

1930 photograph of the vernacular house at 72 Tyngsboro Rd. According to the Historical Commission records, the design is a rare local example of a house made solely out of granite. It first appears on the 1855 Symmes map, with construction as early as 1831. Allen R. Perham (ca. 1813-1886) owned the then 49 acre property by 1855, and was the first known owner. The nearby Perham Circle, accepted as a town way in 2001, was likely named after the family.

The house still stands today: GoogleMaps
