Couture Family Photo

Photo of the Couture Family at their cabin. It was taken winter 1900. The family was had a granite quarry on Snake Meadow Hill as early as 1906, while they also had logging operations. The early twentieth century represented a height in Westford’s granite quarrying. Snake Meadow Hill in the town village of Graniteville had six of the thirteen active quarries in town by 1911.
