Portrait
Unframed, acrylic on Anjac Gesso Panel, 13″ x 35″. It is a portrait of Grace Atwood Millett (1889-1971), painted by Westford artist William Atwood Millett. Click here to view the larger portrait of Grace. She was the mother of the artist, who often signed his work as WM or Millet. This particular work does not feature any signature. Grace lived in Westford throughout her life and was married to Nathan Millett (1871-1955). She was also a nurse in town, practicing from 1912 to the 1950s.
The piece was donated by the J.V. Fletcher Library in 2020, along with other works by the artist.
