Certificate
Memorial certificate awarded to the family of WWI veteran “Adlard Langlely” (alternately spelled “Adelard”). According to the Veterans Services Department, Adelard Joseph “Aldat” Langley (1897-1918) was killed in action while serving in France with the 95th Aero Squadron. The certificate was awarded on December 3, 1919, approved during a town meeting. Adlat was later interred in St. Catherine’s Cemetery in 1921, with a large military funeral. The certificate was donated to the museum by his grand-nephew, Warren Henderson, in 2005.
