1968 photograph of the house at 46 Lowell Rd. The photo is itself a reprint from a negative, so it was taken some time prior. It is of the Eli Tower House. Eli Tower was born in Townsend in 1807, and married Mary Fletcher (1813-1878) in 1833 in Westford. Their house was built by 1741, later appearing on the 1855 Symmes map. By the 1970s, the house was owned by the Adams family.
