1923 black and white photograph of the upper view from Caunter’s Bridge in Graniteville (corner of Broadway, River St., and Graniteville Rd). Now known as the “Graniteville Rd. Bridge,” it was named after Joseph Caunter (1837-1912), who lived at the pictured house at 87 Graniteville Rd. By the time the picture was taken, the house was owned by John Joseph Tandus (1891-1972). The house was built around 1800, and still stands today as a multi-family home.
