Framed black and white photo of Polly’s Restaurant with plane on the roof from 1949. The restaurant opened in 1941 where the Mobil gas station is today at Minot’s Corner. It was originally owned and operated by Costa “Polly” Polesayka (1908-1998), and later owned by Domenic Del Papa (1917-1996). According to the Westford Gazetteer, two different planes were attached to the roof, with a WWII BT-13/15 seen in the picture. The restaurant was closed by 1970, when the gas station was built on the site.
