Welcome to the 3rd Grade Virtual Tour of the Westford Museum

In September 1729 a town rich in history and full of beauty was established. It was dotted with trees and hills, brooks and ponds. These were simpler times when fewer than 100 families called themselves residents of this town.

The American Revolution further shaped the history of our town, So many of our townsfolk were called to serve in the war. The mills, quarries and farms continued to enhance what our town became.

Today there are more than 26,000 people from all walks of life who have come to live here. We are unique as our original settlers were and we continue the proud heritage that has been enjoyed for 293 years.

Those simply passing through refer to it as a beautiful New England town called Westford. Those of us lucky to live here are happy to call it home.
