The Archdeaconry of the Lowell district met in St. Andrew’s church, Ayer, last Thursday at 10:45, the preacher being Rev. Geo. K. Hannah of Concord. Forty-two men attended and were entertained at lunch in the vicarage by the women’s guild. The company was taken to Shirley by trolley and thence by barge through Shirley Centre, Groton and Forge Village, stopping to see the mission chapel in Shirley Centre, passing the schoolhouse mission in Woodsville, passing an hour to visit Groton School and concluding by a brief service in the chapel of Forge mission house, making a record trip of twenty-two miles to visit the places where services are conducted by St. Andrew’s parish.
