Letter and envelope written on Boston & Maine Railroad stationery. It was written to Miss Margaret Ledwurth by her father, Conductor Clarence Ledwurth, when he was waiting in Stillwater, Massachusetts, on April 3, 1907, for the train.

April 3, 1907

My Darling Little Girl

I Got your letter this
afternoon and was very glad to
get it as as I was lonesome and
was very glad to read your letter from
you my dear girl. I don’t know
for sure if I will have to work
Sunday or not but think likely
that I will if I do I will be
home Sunday night any way
and if I don’t have to work I will
be home Sat night about eight
or it may be latter and if it
is to late I wont come up
until Sunday afternoon I have
been going some today I have
made out some reports but I

didn’t have to as the Aguit[?] told
me that I didn’t have to touch
them but he may be sielt[?]
for a month and then the
clerks in Boston will be looking
for his reports and if they
dont get them they will
be something doing well but[?]
this is away short letter but
I haven’t got 5 minutes before
the train comes so will have
to close I love you my darling
