The Stony Brook branch existed, at least in name only, until 2020, when CSX Transportation purchased the line in the area from PanAm.

The photo features Charles Smith Edwards (1882-1921), while he was station master. He lived on Brookside Rd, which is a part of Nabnasset today. He Westford Academy graduate, and taught there prior to being a station agent. He was the father of educator Rita Edwards Miller (1918-2003), the namesake of the Rita Miller school in town.
