This is a color photo of 58 Hildreth St. taken by Barbara Hildreth Parkhurst (1920-2011) in 1979. The house was built in 1687 by Ephraim Hildreth (1655-1731). It is one of the oldest houses still standing in Westford. The Hildreths lived there until 1981. Barbara was born in Maine but lived in the Westford and Chelmsford communities throughout her life. A Westford Academy graduate, chemist, and parasitologist, she became the first woman president of the WA Trustees in 1981.
