Square color photo of the Levi Prescott House at 25 Pine St, taken in 1960. The house is notable for the double chimneys on either side of the building. It was built around 1780 by Capt. Jonas Prescott (1727-1813), and named after his great-grandson, Levi (1850-1923). Five generation of Prescotts lived in this house. The last of the family to live in the house was Alice Luella Prescott Collins (1886-1984). It was later gutted by fire in 1989. However, it was restored soon after, and still stands today.
