Featured Artifact of the Week

Photograph

Black and white photograph of the still standing bridge over Stony Brook on Stony Brook Rd. The bridge was historically known as Taylor’s Bridge. It was named after the Taylor family, which lived nearby at 70 Lowell Rd (Taylor’s Corner). His property was also known as the Old Oaken Bucket, not to be confused with the restaurant on Littleton Rd (Rt. 110), now the 99 Restaurant. The photo was donated by Deborah Stein-Sharpe in 2008 as part of the Atwood-Millet collection.
