Albert was a sales engineer, while Robert was head engineer in the research lab. Second row: Harry Hill w/cigarette, Paul Linus Dunigan (1909-1954) (sales), Ray LePan (Engineer), Lillian Bellemore. Third row: Frederick Stanley Smith (1907-1991), Harriet Craven Sargent Hildreth (1881-1965), and Rita M. Healy (1926-1989). Harriet was the treasurer of Sargent in 1940, and became president in 1952.
C.G. Sargent sons was founded in the Graniteville section of Westford in 1854 by Charles Grandison Sargent (1872-1938). The company primarily produced industrial dryers for textiles, closely working with Abbot Worsted Co into the 1950s. They went into bankruptcy in 1990.
