Photograph

1912 black and white photo of 534 Groton Rd in the northern area of Westford’s Nabnasset, then known as West Chelmsford. Construction of the granite mansion was complete by 1911. Also known as Greyledge, it was the residence of Herbert Ellory Fletcher (1862-1956), who was one of the founders of the H.E. Fletcher Co. (now Fletcher Granite Co.) in 1881. After a brief use as a residence, the house was primarily used as office and storage space, and is still used today as an office for the company.
