Road Plan
Plan of a road petitioned for by Levi Thomas Fletcher (1798-1890) and others, drawn between 1855 and 1860. The road’s petition ran from Stony Brook Road in Westford and across the town line into Chelmsford, and is part of Lowell Road today. All the homeowners mentioned in the petition were living in Westford at the time of the 1855 census. The Westford names include Joshua Decatur (1807-1868), Levi T. Fletcher, William Taylor (1811-1890), William Agnew. The Chelmsford names include Robert Lord, W. K. Thompson, Gilman Shaw, Joseph Read, A. & E. Spaulding, Francis Parker, Edward Richardson.
