1899 black and white photograph of the house at 55 Brookside Rd. If features Charles Smith Edwards (with horse) in his home at Brookside, which is a part of Nabnasset today. The house was built by 1855, while references in History of Westford — as well as the central chimney — suggest it was built as early as 1736. Moses Edwards (1819-1889) was the original owner of the property. He was the father of William C. Edwards (1845-1929), who built the J.V. Fletcher Library. The still standing house has seen renovations, including one in 2000, while the barn was torn down prior to 1975.
