The photo was taken in the early 1900s, likely in the Forge Village mill. It was donated by past Westford resident Mary Page Lord Cote (1924-2014). She lived in the Forge Village section of town, and worked at the Abbot Worsted Co. as a clerk, after she graduated from Westford Academy in 1942. In 1953, she ran Cote’s Service Station with her husband, Harvey Cote (1924-2002).
