From the collection

Black and white photo of the house that once stood at 53 Hildreth Street, when it was owned by Charles S. and Mary Abbie Pattee Ripley. Charles was the Master of the Town Farm, and worked there from 1918-1922. The photo was taken around 1937, after major remodeling. Other owners included the Wright and Hildreth families. The Daley family owned the house by the 1970s. The house was considered to be one of the oldest in town, and was built prior to 1855, first appearing on maps of that year. It was demolished in 2018.
