Dec 7th 2021 marks the 80th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor and The United States officially entered World War ii. World War II wasn’t just a man’s war—350,000 American women answered the call and served their country.
According to the Town of Westford Military Burial Index there were 596 Westford WW2 Veterans and we have discovered 30 Westford women that serve our country. At the start of each of the programs in the Westford Historical Society’s Winter 2022 Program, Series ”Westford Women go to War” we will feature 2-3 Westford WW2 women veterans.
