In 1859 much of the recreational land around Nabnassett Lake was first known as “Woodward Grove”, later in 1874, it was then known as “Nabnasset Grove.” Starting in 1933, Ernest Schlusemeyer of Lake Shore Realty, built a summer community, complete with a country club, an Inn, a summer theater, and camp lots for sale!
