MORE INFO…

Since 2010, Suffrage 100MA  has been dedicated to commemorating the 100th anniversary of the adoption of the 19th Amendment, which prohibits governments from denying citizens the right to vote on the basis of sex. It took a 72-year struggle, by thousands of suffragists, to achieve adoption of the 19th Amendment in August of 1920. The mission of Suffrage100MA has been to raise awareness and honor the remarkable sacrifices and achievements of the suffragists, providing resources, creating educational films and organizing events held in Boston on Women’s Equality Day. Fredie has long believed that the more the sacrifices for this journey are known and appreciated the more women will exercise their right to vote.

Fredie Kay will present an overview of Suffrage 100MA and highlight their vision for a new virtual Massachusetts Women’s History Museum and Women’s Hall of Fame.

Fredie Kay is an attorney and women’s rights and political advocate. She is President of the Women’s Suffrage Celebration Coalition of Massachusetts.
