Graniteville. A lively runaway took place here last Saturday morning when the horse owned by the Blodgett Brothers, milk dealers, and driven by Fred Blodgett, being left alone for a few minutes, suddenly took fright at some object and dashed down Main st. at full speed.
When near “Greig’s corner,” the wagon was overturned and milk and eggs were scattered all over the street. The horse was caught and after a visit was made to the blacksmith shop, Mr. Blodgett proceeded on his way. The top of the wagon was a wreck, but the horse was not injured to any great extent. Fred says that he cannot account for the horse’s action, for “she was old enough to know better.”
