Edwin R. Hodgman (1819-1900) graduated from Dartmouth College in 1843 and from Andover Theological Seminary in 1846. He served churches in Orfordville, N.H., Lunenburg, Mass., Lynnfield Center, Mass., and Westford, Mass.
Edwin was later town clerk in Westford from 1873 to 1882. And, he was the author of the “History of Westford, in the County of Middlesex, Massachusetts, 1659-1883,” published in 1883. Besides writing the History of Westford, he also wrote A Brief Memoir of Rev. Joseph B. Hill.
