As a coed high school since its founding in 1793, the Westford Academy hosted several figures important to women’s history. Pamela Gay (1973 — ) was just one of them. She graduated from WA in 1992, received an Astrophysics BS in 1996, and Astronomy PhD 2002. She is a senior scientist at the Planetary Science Institute. As part of her career as an astronomer, she is also a science communicator. She is a teacher, researcher, writer, and principal investigator for the online science community CosmoQuest.
