Funeral of Mrs. Lovisa [Louisa] Leland took place from the home of her son, George A. Leland, on Monday afternoon, Feb. 25, at two o’clock. The service at the home was conducted by Rev. W. E. Anderson of the Methodist church. The bearers were E. G. Boynton, W. E. Parsons, Clark Cummings and J. Everett Woods. Burial was in Fairview cemetery.
W. O. Hawkes has returned from a visit to Amherst where he assisted in the celebration of his father’s 92nd birthday.

James C. Hall in the Nabnassett district, who had the misfortune to fall from a staging last year and break his leg, is now in the Lowell general hospital, having broken his other leg while attempting to walk.
