We are proclaiming “‘Your Vote is Your Voice”  by celebrating the 100th anniversary of women’s right to vote in the United States, and the ratification of the 19th Amendment.  Our Rally speakers Ellen Harde, Madonna McKenzie and Andrea Peraner-Sweet, are prominent women who have and are making a difference in Westford ‘s community life.

The public is invited to attend this open-air meeting; face masks are required.  Please wear white in commemoration of the 1920 Women’s Suffrage Victory Rallies.  All are encouraged to make “Right to Vote” sashes, signs and posters for the promenade. We look forward to seeing a large, celebratory crowd on the Westford Common.

As in other cities and towns across the United States, including our Capitol, the Westford Common and surrounding public buildings will be lit after the ceremony with gold and purple, the color of the suffrage movement, to honor the final ratification of the 19th Amendment on August 26, 1920. This special evening lighting will continue from Sunday, Aug 23 through Thursday, August 27.
